Yokoi Dental Clinic / 歯科クリニック / 愛知県
クリニックの位置する愛知県清須市は名古屋市の隣に位置し、近年は名古屋市からのベッドタウンとして若年層からの人気も高いエリア。そんな街に求められる歯科医院とはどういう建築かということから設計をスタートしました。
地域に親しまれるクリニックとなるよう、過度な装飾や看板を作るのではなく、建物自体が目を引くシンボルのような存在を目指して設計しました。
無駄な装飾を省き、真っ白いキューブ状の箱に、大きさが違う窓がランダムに開けられた構成のみとし、クリニックの建物自体に目線が止まるようなデザインとしています。
インテリアデザインは吹き抜けの開口やトップライトから注がれる光が開放感のある待合室を作り、診察室は吹き抜けに構造の梁を利用した照明ボックスが機能的な光と間接照明を造り出し、患者が落ち着いて治療を受けれる雰囲気をデザインしています。

To become an icon and be well liked by the community, we minimised signs and advertisements.
We kept the design simple and clean, a white box with assorted square windows to capture people’ s attention.
Inside, you can feel the light from these and the skylights above, which gives you the impression of being in a more spacious waiting area.
In the consultation room, to make patients more relaxed, we embedded lights into the beam structures. This provides both direct functional lighting for dentists at work, as well as diffusing into the wider room to brighten up the space around each beam.
