名古屋市東区の繁華街の中で大きな公園の緑地帯を望めるビルの２階の美容院。40㎡(12坪)という限られた空間でかつ壁面の２面がほぼ全面ガラス貼りの既存空間でした。

大きなガラス面は直射日光の影響は無く、適度な明るさが得られる空間だったため、 プランは北側のガラス面に外を向くようにカット面を設置し、外の景色や北側の公園の緑を見ることでタイトな空間の圧迫感をなくすサロンを目指しました。

また、限られた空間の中で少しでも収納量を増やすために、ロフト収納を設けました。

インテリアの仕上げは、黒く塗装した鋼材、真鍮、シナ合板と材料の種類を絞り、インダストリアルな家具が似合う空間としています。

Design for a hair salon on the second floor of a building overlooking the greenery of a large park in the center of Nagoya. It was previously a limited space of 40sq.m, with fully glazed walls on two sides.

The space was filled with ample amount of light without being affected by the direct sunlight through the large glass windows, so we planned hair-cutting stations facing the glass wall on the north. This way customers can enjoy the view and the greenery of the park without feeling boxed in.

In addition, in order to have an efficient circulation and increase the storage capacity in the limited space, we created a storage loft.

As the finishing touch to the interior, the glamourous mirror trims and lighting fixtures in brass give accent to this simple space.
